On Friday 22 May at 6.00 pm, at the Jesolo Public Library, author Valentina Zanusso will present her novel *My Friend Sam*, published by The Wall Edizioni. The book tells the story of Sam, a 26-year-old whose life seems to have come to a standstill, who finds in food a way to escape a pain that is difficult to face. His life changes when he comes into possession of the Noes, an enigmatic stone that offers no immediate answers but points to a path to follow. This journey leads him to meet a grumpy, ailing old man, with whom an unexpected bond forms: together they will confront places, memories and wounds from the past, learning that happiness is not the same for everyone, but is built through choices and new opportunities. The novel, rich in symbolism, explores themes such as fragility, forgiveness, time regained and the strength to start afresh. The event is open to residents and visitors alike; it will take place from 6.00 pm to 8.00 pm and admission is free, subject to availability.
