The community is invited to attend the ceremony in memory of Deputy Commissioner of the State Police, Dr Alfredo Albanese, who was awarded the Gold Medal for Civil Valour and died in the line of duty in Mestre on 12 May 1980. The event will take place on 12 May, with participants gathering at 9.30 am at the G. D’Annunzio Middle School, located on Viale del Bersagliere in Lido di Jesolo. This will be followed, at 9.45 am, by the flag-raising ceremony and the laying of a commemorative wreath. The event will also be attended by pupils from the “G. D’Annunzio” Comprehensive School. The event is open to all members of the public, will conclude at 10.30 am and is free of charge.
