Marco Vavassori - double bass
Since the early 1900s, the clarinet has been a fundamental instrument in the fusion between jazz and classical music: during the swing era, Benny Goodman, Artie Shaw, and Woody Herman became famous as bandleaders and clarinetists, making the clarinet an increasingly solo instrument. The evening will explore this theme through a narrative and musical journey.
